SENIOR PRODUCT LINE MANAGER — SPRINGFIELD, OR

Richardson Sports is a premium brand focused on headwear, team uniforms, and performance apparel.

The Senior Product Line Manager is a hands-on, execution-focused role responsible for managing quality and consistency of inline products and developing and delivering new seasonal product lines that meet brand, quality, cost, and calendar requirements. This role is primarily accountable for day-to-day product management across assigned product categories, working closely with Design, Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing Partners, and Distribution. The Senior Product Line Manager ensures products are developed efficiently from concept through commercialization, meeting and maintaining Richardson’s standards for quality, performance, compliance, and margin throughout the product life cycle.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

 

Product Development Execution

  • Execute seasonal product development plans across headwear, uniforms, and apparel categories.
  • Manage the full product development lifecycle, including sampling, revisions, testing, and PP approvals.
  • Ensure products meet established standards for construction, fit, materials, performance, compliance, and target margins.
  • Track development timelines and follow up on outstanding actions to keep seasons on schedule.

 

Factory & Sample Management

  • Own day-to-day communication with factories related to samples, lab dips, material development, revisions, approvals, and special projects.
  • Coordinate sample reviews and ensure all feedback is clearly documented and communicated.
  • Identify and flag potential issues for inline and new development related to quality, feasibility, cost, and/or timing and work with partners to resolve them.

 

Cross-Functional Support

  • Work closely with Design & Development Team to translate concepts into production-ready products.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Merchandising to support product needs and seasonal launches.
  • Assist in preparing and presenting product lines for internal reviews, education, and external meetings as needed.

 

Product Line Tools & Documentation

  • Create and maintain accurate seasonal product decks with detailed product information, features, and specifications.
  • Create and maintain post-production quality check manuals by product type and/or model as needed.
  • Maintain complete and accurate product data within the PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system.
  • Ensure all product documentation is up to date and supports downstream teams and go-to-market execution.

 

Market & Trend Awareness

  • Maintain awareness of competitive products, category trends, and industry developments.
  • Apply relevant market insights to support product updates and line additions.

Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of product line management experience within headwear, apparel, uniforms, and/or accessories.
  • Strong working knowledge of product construction, materials, patterns, fit, and decoration techniques.
  • Solid understanding of global headwear and apparel manufacturing processes.
  • Experience using enterprise-level PLM systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple development programs and timelines simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and strong follow-through.

PRODUCTION MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN - SWING SHIFT — SPRINGFIELD, OR

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 3:00pm-2:00am, overtime as needed. (Three day weekends!!)

The Production Maintenance Technician keeps our production floor running. This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing the equipment used in our headwear manufacturing operations, including industrial embroidery machines, heat press equipment, automated cutting systems, forming and finishing equipment, air compressors, and material handling systems.

You’ll handle preventive maintenance, troubleshoot breakdowns, and respond quickly when equipment goes down. This includes working on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to get machines back up and running safely and efficiently.

This position supports daily production by completing work orders, diagnosing issues, replacing parts, performing equipment adjustments, and helping reduce downtime. You’ll work closely with production supervisors and operators to keep operations moving and maintain a safe work environment.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, and HVAC systems
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and complete timely repairs
  • Execute preventive maintenance programs to reduce equipment failure
  • Repair and replace bearings, gears, bushings, chains, belts, sheaves, pulleys, and perform motor alignments
  • Install, remove, and relocate equipment, machinery, and light roll conveyors
  • Support facility improvement and construction projects, including carpentry, drywall repair, painting, concrete work, welding, fabrication, and low-voltage electrical work
  • Troubleshoot and maintain pneumatic systems, including valves, cylinders, and compressors
  • Assist with PLC systems, encoder motors, and basic programming adjustments
  • Maintain natural gas and electric water heaters
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals
  • Maintain maintenance logs and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and workplace safety standards
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and scissor lifts
  • Perform basic plumbing, grounds maintenance, and light janitorial duties as needed
  • Maintain facility cleanliness, including trash and cardboard management
  • Respond to on-call emergencies as required
  • Work at heights using ladders or lifts
  • Lift up to 50 pounds
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Facility Manager, Production Manager, or CEO

Requirements:

Education & Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of industrial or facility maintenance experience
  • Maintenance Technician certification preferred
  • ASAE certification preferred
  • HVAC certification preferred

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems
  • Experience with welding and metal fabrication
  • Understanding of pneumatic systems and compressed air equipment
  • Working knowledge of PLC controls and basic programming for manufacturing machinery
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics
  • Familiarity with SDS documentation and hazardous waste containment procedures
  • Safe operation of powered industrial equipment

The Level 1 Production Lead assists the Supervisor in daily embroidery production by helping assign work, routing orders, and operating machines such as embroidery, sewing, and heat press equipment. This entry-level leadership role emphasizes quality inspection, maintaining safe work practices, and supporting team efficiency while gaining experience in production coordination.

This role is responsible for supervising daily production operations while leading, developing, and supporting a team in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment. The Production Supervisor works closely with the Production Manager and other department leaders to ensure production goals are met while maintaining high standards for quality, efficiency, safety, and employee engagement.

 · Assist the Production Manager and fellow Department Supervisors in continuously improving production systems, including production control, standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety programs, quality standards, and performance management processes.

· Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and established safety protocols, and actively promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

· Foster effective employee relations by providing coaching, training, and development; make day-to-day employment decisions; and address employee concerns through timely and professional problem resolution.
